Prescription Ordering Changes from 1st July 2025

From 1st July 2025, we will no longer accept prescription requests over the phone.

We know this is a change, but it's one we’re making to improve safety and accuracy for all our patients. Taking medication requests over the phone can lead to errors — names of medications can be misheard or miscommunicated, and that puts patient safety at risk.

🔒 By moving away from telephone requests, we can ensure your prescriptions are processed more safely, securely and efficiently.

🧾 How to order your repeat prescriptions going forward:

✅ NHS App – The quickest, easiest and safest way to order. You can see your medications, track requests and even nominate your preferred pharmacy.
✅ SystmOnline – If you already have login details, you can continue using this service or ask our reception team for access.
✅ In Writing – You can drop off your repeat slip or written request at reception.

If you need help setting up the NHS App or any of the online services, please speak to a member of our team — we’re here to support you through the change.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep your care as safe and accurate as possible.
